For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.      -Romans 6:23

Usually, most people look forward to payday. But if the wages of sin is death, then I'm sure many would rather skip that paycheck! Ever since the time Adam and Eve sinned in the garden of Eden, death has entered the world. First came "spiritual death", which is seen in the broken relationship between God and man. Soon after followed "physical death", which has been a constant companion of mankind since the time of Abel. And finally there is coming an "eternal death". This will be an eternal separation from God in hell.

Fortunately God has demonstrated His love for Mankind in this way; while we were still sinners Christ died for us! (Romans 5:8). This means God didn't wait for us to get our act together or even to be good enough to seek Him out. He saw our hopelessness and decided to initiate a solution and solve the problem. This fix was that His Son Jesus would die on our behalf so we wouldn't have to die an eternal death. Afterwards God would offer Christ's death to us as a payment for our sin. What's left for us is to accept the payment provided. Only through Jesus can we have the free gift of eternal life with God (Acts 4:12).

After all this Jesus rose from the dead, demonstrating that the Father was pleased with the sacrifice made. Jesus also became the first of those who would one day be resurrected, proving that physical death will not have the final word. Additionally He sent the Holy Spirit to live within us, so that we can understand the bible and walk in a way that reflects the new life God has given us.

If you have never asked Jesus into your life so that your sins can be forgiven, then there is no better time than now! Simply confess to Jesus that you are a sinner who needs to be forgiven. And you are inviting Him into your life to take away your sin and live within you. Ask Him to fill you with His Holy Spirit and to lead you in this new life in Christ. From there, in order to grow in your new life as a christian, begin to attend a Bible believing church where you can increase in your understanding of God and His word (the Bible) and be part of a fellowship of believers.

If you have made this decision to follow Christ, then please let us know so that we can pray for you and be of more help.
